- Addressing two topics = fashion industry (fast fashion) and sustainability
- Addressing how consumer’s view these two topics.
- Consumer’s main concerns regarding choosing sustainable brands are costs and limited access/exposure to them.
- Promoting making the best ethical decisions that are possible for them.
- Most people would still choose to follow trends over environmental/ethical concerns, which could be due to the strong marketing.
- Agree with that consumers needing to be more mindful in the way we consume fashion.
- Biggest issue is waste
- Great topic to address because if more and more consumers start to adopt the conscious mentality of shopping ethically it can start the movement where brands notice consumer behavior changes.
- How will I address this topic from my own point of view? What will I add to the conversation?
- We are all consumers of fast fashion in one way or another. Greatly disagree with their business practices (sweatshop labor, environmental cost of textile production).
- Consumerism standpoint: want to be able to buy within budget/affordable, they value convenience and cheap prices.
